Nobody wants a negative review on their books but they are inevitable. We can't expect readers to not put up bad reviews but we can control how we react to them.
Here are 3 simple ways you can handle these negative reviews.
Be Open About it
Admit and accept that nobody is perfect. Anticipate that there may be negative reviews to come and take them as constructive criticism. Your book will not always get 100% good reviews and that's perfectly ok.
Keep it Professional
There will be different kinds of reviews and as a publisher, only take action on reviews that will affect the sales. Personal attacks are hurtful but you have to let them go because letting them consume your thoughts will do more harm for you in the long term.
Learn and Grow
If there were several bad reviews, look for anything in common. Is it about the cover? The typos? or some plot holes? Take these reviews as a hint as to where you may need some improvement. In fact, even just one review can lead you to a better direction of what you need to work on.
